Flow Art Painting Class

Join us at Circa 1857 for another Flow Art Painting Class!

In this class, not only will you have tons of fun, but you will learn the basics of flow art, a painting trend that combines paint and chemicals, making some ‘far out’ imagery.

Denise Kerr, a long time art teacher, will lead the class, beginning with a short introduction to the scientific compounds this technique involves. Next, we’ll demonstrate a few techniques you can use to achieve a beautiful finished product. Once we get through the basics, it’s time to CREATE!

The class is scheduled for July 30, 2019, at 6:00 until 8:00. You may stay longer if more time is needed to finish your masterpiece, or just to socialize!

The class is $50 per person, which includes all the materials (paint, brushes, canvas, chemicals, etc.), wine & beer, and light hors d’oeuvres. A portion of the fee goes to the instructor, but additional tips can be left at your discretion.

Limited space available. Max class size is 30 people.

The fun you’ll have is priceless.

Abstract Art Class

Join Circa 1857 and The Holly Fant Art Studio for our next class: Abstract Painting!

In this course, learn the basics of abstract painting with a pallet knife, acrylic paints, and gold & silver foil! It’s an easy going class where you’ll get to create a few masterpieces. Most students will leave with 2 to 3 16″x20″ canvas paintings.

It is $45 per person. This includes all the essential materials and refreshments.

We’ll be serving mimosas and light “brunch” hors d’oeuvres.

Holly Fant will lead the class. Holly is an abstract painter best known for her use of color and texture and for incorperating recycled materials into her masterpieces. She will begin the class with a few demos, and then will help and assist each student with their own paintings.

This class is for beginners and professionals alike!

So, come spend your Sunday afternoon with us on July 14 from 2:00-4:00 and make some beautiful art! Who knows; you could be the next Rothko!
